This is Me

 Hello!

I have been very busy writing new books. So far, I have put out 4 new books and my newest book has gone global. I worked so hard for this opportunity and I am happy I was patient with myself. When I wrote, Breathtaker, I thought about someone who wandered the earth admitting to himself that being alone was good for him. No attachments or someone to care for. But is that the way to live? The character in this story gets hit with tragedy and it forces him to take a better look at himself and what he has to do to move on. Unexpected turns happen for him and he sees the world in a different perspective. For a man to change who he was and be someone he never thought of being, Ben Michaels begins to find joy again. I love this story and the character. He is a determined man but there is a softer side to him that he doesn't discover until he meets a woman who turns his life around. I think the readers will love this one.

I also put out a story about mistaken identity. I love stories like that and if you put a little mystery to it with a touch of romance, you have some suspense. I have never written a story about a psychological thriller. A family is torn apart and one man goes to extremes to find the daughter he lost when death came knocking at their door. Innocent people were put in harm's way and no matter what anyone tried to do, he just couldn't be stopped. The insanity and disturbance of this father causes him to go too far and do things his way to unlock why his twin daughters lost so much, one dying in a drowning accident. Double Vision is about how a successful woman gets her life back after being terrorized by a obsessed stalker.

That Summer In August is a endearing story about finding love at a young age and hoping that love will stay around for good. But growing up and life's changes make it difficult to keep love alive. Each one having the hope to return to one another soon but heartache and distance come between them and now they have to get back what they lost. If you like The Notebook, you will like this story.

I recently got some news that I am finally healthy. I was experiencing some fatigue and found out that I have an auto immune disease that attacks my skin. I took steroid creams and it ruined my health. After 2 years of seeing doctors, I am back to good health. I am no longer taking those toxic creams and I run about 5 miles everyday. I even dropped a little weight and gained some muscle. I was never a very overweight person and I loved working out but the steroid creams can cause weight gain and side effects. I have more energy and confidence and at 61, that's saying a lot. My health means everything to me and so does good nutrition. I am in a good place with my children and grandchildren and my husband and I will be celebrating 43 years together this November. Taking care of my mental health is important too. I saw an excellent therapist to deal with the sadness and trauma of being a child abuse survivor. I have made peace with it and I made room for closure and I am happier for all the hard work I did to reach this goal. Taking control of your life will make all the difference and soon, you will see the results!

I realize that not everyone is going to like my stories. In my mind, I am thinking of the readers and what they will take away from reading something good. I'm not good at writing a book that is over 400 pages or conversations that are chapters long. I like to get to the center of what brings the story to life. I read reviews about other authors and I adapt to what it is readers want to see in a book. Many say they are okay with some violence or sexual content while others say it cheapens a story or it's too much. Some books can have as many as 120 F words or references that are disturbing. I am not that kind of writer. I love drama, a connection between two people who need each other. I get into the healing factor and why they think they should be together. It's okay that I am not like other authors. Out of millions of writers, less than half are good at what they do. I like being unique and now that I am going global, I am excited to see how many readers enjoy what I spend months working on. I write everyday and it's fun to think about putting together a new adventure or story. Look me up on Amazon under Annette Marie Stephenson. Also romancebyannette.com. Write a comment or review of what you thought about my books. I know my readers will enjoy every chapter! Happy Reading!! A
